Founded by artists, Certain Circuits Magazine publishes poetry, experimental prose, art, and new media. We are especially interested in documenting multimedia collaborative work between artists.

Mary Kasimor grew up in Minnesota and lives between Minnesota and Washington (State). She has most recently been published in the follow journals: Yew Journal, Big Bridge, Reconfigurations, Moria, Otoliths, Certain Circuits, MadHat, The Bakery, and Altered Scale. She has work forthcoming in Posit and Word/For Word. She received a fellowship award from US Poets in Mexico for the 2012 conference. She was also a finalist in the 2011 Ahsahta Chapbook Contest. She has had several books of poetry published, most recently a chapbook, The Windows Hallucinate (LRL Textile Series, 2013).

Ann E. Michael is a poet, essayist, librettist and educator who lives in Eastern Pennsylvania. She holds an MFA in creative writing from Goddard College and is a rostered Artist-in-Education with the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. Her writing has appeared in numerous literary journals and in newspapers, family magazines, poetry anthologies, educational and academic publications as well as on radio. She has teaching experience with students from middle school through graduate school; in academic and workshop/seminar settings, she has instructed poetry, personal essay, memoir, radio commentary, creative writing and basic composition. Currently, she is the writing coordinator for the Academic Resources Center at DeSales University in Center Valley, PA.

Calvin Pennix holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Chapman University and lives with his wife and daughter in Mission Viejo, CA.  He is currently an instructor at Everest College, where he teaches Composition, American Literature, Critical Thinking and Algebra.  Calvin’s first book of poetry, Grounds, was published by Argotist Booksand  he has had his poetry appear in UCity Review, A Few Lines Magazine, Unlikely 2.0, Counterexample Poetics, Ishaan Literary Review, Truck, Peacock Online Review, Mad Hatters Review Blog and forthcoming in Otoliths.  He is also the founding editor of quarter after, a new journal that will be publishing its first issue in March 2012.   collectedtrepidation.blogspot.com High-res
